Call for Papers

Paper submission deadline: October 20, 2023

The 12th NTU Postgraduate Conference on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language will be held on March 23, 2024, at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. This conference is organized by students from the Graduate Program of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at NTU. Its primary objective is to provide a platform for postgraduate students in the field from around the world to present their scholarly papers and exchange ideas. The conference endeavors to foster an atmosphere conducive to academic discourse among students, with the aim of promoting intellectual stimulation. We cordially invite students currently enrolled in master's or doctoral programs to submit their original unpublished work and participate in this event. 

Presentations will be 15 minutes long, followed by a 5-minute question-and-answer session. All presentations will be in Chinese or English.




1. Conference topics include, but not limited to, the following: 
  1. Morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics of Mandarin Chinese
  2. L2 Chinese acquisition; interlanguage analysis
  3. Methods and designs for L2 Chinese teaching
  4. Technology and L2 Chinese teaching
  5. Teaching Chinese for specific purposes
  6. Cross-cultural studies
  7. Bilingual education
 
2. Submission method
 
- Please submit the Abstract and Registration Form and your manuscript as attachments in an electronic file format in Microsoft Word to: ntutcslconf@gmail.com
- Please use the provided template to prepare your manuscript, adhering to the word limit of 8,000-12,000 words in English or 6,000-20,000 characters in Chinese, inclusive of references and keywords.
- Only graduate students enrolled in master's or doctoral programs are eligible to be the paper's first author.
- All papers will be reviewed anonymously.
-If your manuscript includes unique images, graphs, or charts that require hard copies to ensure accurate reproduction, kindly submit two hard copies of the document to the following address by October 20, 2023National Taiwan University Graduate Program of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, No. 1, Section 4, Roosevelt Road, Taipei 10617, Taiwan, "National Taiwan University Graduate Program of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language Mailbox."
